I am committed to making my website accessible and usable for as many visitors as possible, including people with disabilities. As I continue to develop and update this site, I use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 as a reference for improving accessibility over time.

My goal is to move toward alignment with key WCAG principles—making content perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust—at roughly the Level AA standard as the site evolves. I have not yet completed a formal WCAG 2.2 conformance evaluation and therefore do not claim full compliance at this time.

What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

This website is built on the Wix platform, which provides tools that support accessibility, including:

support for screen readers and keyboard navigation
the ability to add descriptive alt text to images
templates and structures designed with accessibility in mind

In managing my content, I make ongoing efforts to:

use clear headings and simple page structure
provide descriptive text for meaningful images
keep color contrast and text readability in mind
ensure form fields are labeled and usable

Accessibility is an ongoing process, and I am committed to making reasonable improvements within the scope of a small, independently run website.

Used the Accessibility Wizard to find and fix potential accessibility issues
Set the language of the site
Set the content order of the site’s pages
Defined clear heading structures on all of the site’s pages
Added alternative text to images
Implemented color combinations that meet the required color contrast
Reduced the use of motion on the site
Ensured all videos, audio, and files on the site are accessible
